Citywide non-profit historic preservation advocacy and education group, Preservation Houston, awarded two MHA Houston projects, Beth Yeshurun Synagogue and Pearl Hospitality’s Westin Houston Medical Center Hotel (formerly the Houston Medical Towers), with 2021 Good Brick Awards.

Buildings of Texas, volumes one and two, also received a 2021 Good Brick Award. Anna Mod, director of MHA Houston, was a contributing author of volume 1 which is a part of the larger Society of Architectural Historians (SAH) Buildings of the United States series.
